Connecting AVNOC® to Crestron systems helps Integrator’s remote monitor those installs. AVNOC® captures details about the health of a system and attached outboard devices through the Crestron 2 & 3 series processors and Fusion. The data is delivered securely to the AVNOC® cloud software for accurate event management.
Through SIMPL Windows system programmers add AVNOC® to new and existing Crestron designs. By accessing the SNMP modules, programmers can connect outboard devices to AVNOC® for secure remote monitoring. The results are notices and log files directly from processors in the field delivered to your help desk for support diagnostics.

Integrating Audiovisual Service Operations
The forward momentum in the audiovisual industry is pushing towards creating a better overall service model. Looking back at the evolution of service it becomes evident there’s now a quality-of-service gap that exists between managed services and field service offerings. Combining AV monitoring with managed services is the natural progression in the networking age. Consider field service as a part of the remote monitoring equation and it becomes a more interesting proposition.
The need for Integrators to bring all of their customers into a help desk, both managed services and priority service is an important step forward. Being that audiovisual is more often integrated in the customer’s network today the opportunity for enhancing support has been completely activated. Easy enough for in-house managed services to be proactive, but now in field services it’s becoming the focus more than ever.
The progression results in audiovisual customers experiencing a higher level of service. There’s more choices of Integrators who provide remote monitoring and management in their service offering these days. Either through managed services or field service every customer can now enjoy the benefits of proactive support and remote AV monitoring.
By including AVNOC® in each customer’s network audiovisual systems are easily monitored remotely. AVNOC® creates a central management location for Integrators where procedure can be sourced more efficiently. The AVNOC® framework displays activity through cloud software providing important accurate data for every connected customer.
AVNOC® recently launched new software features that include a World Map view. The World Map is the easiest way to view updates of customer’s networks anywhere around the globe. Perfect for the Network Operation Center the World Map is an effective resource and an attractive presentation as a full-time video wall display.
AVNOC® increases the ability for Integrators to grow support services without limitations. Easy on-boarding, enterprise scalability, plus HIPAA compliance is a part of what makes AVNOC® the solution for leading Integrators around the globe.
Monitoring is made easy at avnoc.com
As Audiovisual Integrators research different options for remote monitoring they need to be leery of products that promote unchecked tunneling through corporate firewalls. In today’s climate of robust data security to suggest that someone can access a secure network by tunneling through a device via HTTPS is reckless. Although it may sound like a good idea for easy remote management, telling corporate IT you can gain access to their network through a device no one can track isn’t something they’re going to celebrate.
Understanding the differences in Residential and Corporate network security should be a straight forward conversation when selling AV in both markets. Residential is low to medium security that offers easy access to AV and home security systems. Asking for residential level access into a corporate customer’s network is unprofessional at the very least.
Best practice is to have a secure solution in place when offering remote monitoring to corporate customers. IT departments are very aware of monitoring their entire infrastructure and do not waiver on security. Bring IT a secure solution that allows you to see AV system details from the outside posing no threat to the IT infrastructure what-so-ever. That will help put the IT people at ease knowing you have knowledge about network security and the product to back it.
The ultimate goal is to have better customer service and generate more recurring revenue. Remote monitoring is designed to augment service sales and support by bringing a proactive solution to the table. No one needs to tunnel into a customers network to update a program. That’s not a good selling point. Trying to eliminate important customer visits should never be the target. Providing better service is the bulls eye and will ultimately yield the biggest rewards through more customer satisfaction.
AVNOC® is dedicated to providing secure remote monitoring solutions and delivering the confidence IT professionals expect. Put AVNOC® in your toolbox and the confidence of a secure monitoring solution.
